As someone with no finesse when it comes to baking or confectionary goodies, I’m genuinely in awe when I come across someone who has mastered this art in the kitchen. Especially when it comes to fudge. When you look at the mouth-watering work of Jessica, owner and operator of Fudge-O-Lutely, you can see the time and hard work that she’s put into each batch of fudge.
For 3 generations, Jessica’s family have been avid fudge makers. In the 70’s, Doris, Jessica’s grandmother was using recipes that her own mother had coined. Doris made delicious fudge that made the neighborhood go crazy! She ended up creating her own business, Karen’s Candy Kitchen, in the back of her own home in downtown Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Growing up in her success, Jim, Jessica’s father, expanded his mother’s business and began delivering the delicious, creamy goods all over Pennsylvania and five neighboring states in his “fudge-mobile.” Seeing the major success of the expansion, Jessica thought best to continue the tradition of her family’s passion and make the fudge available online.
Since then Fudge-O-Lutely has seen major success and with Jessica’s innovation and drive, she has set up shop at the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania which allows her access to source the majority of her ingredients locally, gaining her company membership of PA preferred. A Pennsylvania marketing initiative to bring more exposure to locally sourced, independant businesses.
She has a wide variety of different flavors as well! Branching off from her family’s traditional fudge flavors like peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, and maple walnut, she experiments with flavors like spicy chocolate, mango habanero, lavender honey, cherry vanilla! With more than thirty different mouth-watering flavors, she rotates them monthly and brings out new flavors seasonally.
